We all think IMVU has done some crappy things lately. Usually you would think you have no voice because IMVU won't listen to ONE person. Well, you can file any and as many complaints you want against IMVU at the Better Business Bureau (BBB). Click HERE and it will lead you straight to the information you will need to file a complaint against IMVU with the BBB. Click on the "file complaint" to the right. Just as an "FYI", all complaints go to Paul Rockwell and if you have read the information above, he is the one that has not answered many messages (voicemail and email) regarding Shane's situation. Each topic is one complaint, so file each problem separately. You will receive an email about each complaint (if you ask to have one sent to you), in there it will give you other information if you need to further complain about it. We have done so. We have notified the BBB that Paul Rockwell is THE ONE that will not answer any messages from those that want Shane back. No wonder why their Customer Service is so bad, their Director leads by example.

Got someone you like? What can IMVU tell you about someone you are interested in? Well here’s something you probably would never have thought of. Your prospective love interest's IMVU homepage can tell you more about him than he ever will tell you.
Buddies:
How many people does this guy have on his buddy list? If it’s somewhere in the order of a hundred, how many do you really think he communicates with? Chances are it’s none of them. Or at the least a small percentage. Does this mean you will be competing for his attention? If he has somewhere around a dozen or so it means he is most probably selective about whom he lets into his inner circle and that he talks to most of them regularly.
Home page layout:
Believe it our not a lot of the guys personality will be reflected in how their page is laid out. If it’s a cookie cutter layout from a template site. Perhaps it shows a lack of personal creativity but not everyone is Picasso so that’s not really important. But a page that has been hand edited, and you can spot those, can show you that he has a sense of pride in what he does, and in their appearance. These people usually have an artist’s sense of creation.
Pictures:
Here’s where a lot of secrets can be found. If you are able to access their picture gallery (it’s not criminal btw to do so) take a look around at what is in there. A bunch of intimate pictures with a variety of girls tells you 2 things. One he’s not too bright (especially having those sort of pictures in there) and two he’s a player and fickle. Buyer beware.
If there’s a lot of him in assorted outfits, that can show that he has a creative outlet, or perhaps he likes to enter the DOC contest or that perhaps he has the outfits sorted for different occasions and likes to look good.
If there’s a real picture amongst the others, that’s an unexpected jackpot. Fickle as it sounds if you have chemistry with them in IMVU could you see yourself attracted to him personally. Big call, but your choice. Remember there can be a big difference between the pixels you meet and the guy in real.
Blog:
This is a rarity and can give you real insight into what this guy thinks and what makes him tick. Not a common feature on most homepages. But very useful to read if there is one.
So there you go. A few things that can tell you a lot about the guy you might be interested in. IMVU telling secrets…who knew!

Another month rolls by and the longest beta test I have ever participated in continues. Some of the more interesting things that have occurred recently are Client revamps which change the layout somewhat, graphic improvements, homepage tweaks and the newest thing bound to polarize people into 2 groups – Badges. Most have been for the betterment and to be honest that’s no mean feat considering the huge range and resource differences that a singular chat client release must cover. Think about it for a moment. This program must operate relatively the same over a variety of OS systems whilst being fully compatible to them all. It must be able to run on machines ranging from grannies hand me down pc through to laptops going upward to bleeding edge PC’s. That’s no small feat.
Keeping that in mind people should be a little more open to change in how the client runs and moves. As always the tech support do listen and participation in the form new release area is the only way you can be sure that someone in the code monkey department is listening.
However...Far from being a glowing polished piece, I believe this client still has a long way to go in as far as cross platform user interfaces go. To that end is it really important to be developing such trivialities as badges, when folks are still experiencing slow and less than stellar performances that can handle most normal 3d games for breakfast. Case in point, a machine that can handle say …Command and Conquer 3 or World of Warcraft should, if theory holds true, handle a basic chat client with ease. Facts remain that this basic chat client is still a very resource hungry application.

Badges it would seem are just another form of price gouging revenue cash cows for a company that already makes real world money from us hand over fist. Let’s not even bring up the fact that now people will be more interested in visiting you merely for a small square pixel badge rather than meeting you. Are we now at the stage where quantity of shiny stuff seems to be the more important quality of the client program? Hard to say but its one that bears watching. Especially when, that creative talent could be better spent on improving the catalog and forums. We shall see what next month brings.
*Author Profile: GM is an angry man at times, not for the sake of it but more for the fact that at times he can’t grasp why people insist on making things more difficult than they need be. This from a man who gets ticked off by small fiddly things such as Tiny screws, threading needles, bra clasps….
